The armor itself tells a story: the double-headed eagle on the pauldrons gazes upon the material world and the realm beyond; the magnetic eagle emblem on the chest can ignite a cold fire in the darkness, a faint glow from the heart furnace of the first Lord Inquisitor. The alloy plates are forged by a lost art, and the thousand copper nails at the joints are inscribed like scriptures with the creed: “Sacrifice is Purification.”
He carries the great sword “Judgment” and the war hammer “Return to Silence,” for purification and ending, respectively. The beast head at his waist is not a trophy but a mechanical reliquary—sealed within it is the consciousness crystal of his mentor, constantly whispering forgotten commandments.
When the gears of the old Empire ground to a halt and heretical mechanist cults began worshipping the God of Rust, Renard awoke from his century-long slumber. The armor’s hydraulic systems hissed, expelling condensed fluid accumulated over a hundred years, and the eagle emblem on his chest lit up in the darkness for the first time.
